Manifesting Wellbeing

East Meets West

After working in a clinical setting as an Exercise Physiologist, I soon realised my view on health and wellbeing was very different from my colleagues and the system we have available to us to assist in our healing. There is no right or wrong, it is just my interpretation of my experiences.

Clients would often comment on how they would be sent to various specialists to assist with different problems they had with their health. Only to be left feeling like a number or a piece of meat being poked, prodded, jabbed and grilled for personal information with no compassion, empathy or real time and space given to tell their story. They would be prescribed medication, which often had many negative side effects sometimes outweighing the original condition or sent for a procedure to fix the problem.

I have a more holistic approach when it comes to healing and health. I don’t tend to focus on the physical problem or condition, only seeing people in a pure state of wellbeing. I find the source of the problem by listening without judgement and don’t treat the symptoms. I have complete faith in the human body to heal itself and believe there are certain actions we can take (or not take) to manifest this into a reality. I have witnessed this with my own eyes, assisting my husband (who has MS) and multiple clients morph into beings of radiant health.

Transformation

First we need to understand the current condition of our health is a direct response to the relationship we have with ourselves. We need to take responsibility for our own bodies to create wellbeing. Understand the connection between the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical states. We cannot neglect one without it affecting the other. Our attention should remain on the wellness, not the health issue and the shadows it brings with it!

We have been misled to believe it is a difficult task to obtain health, that illness or chronic conditions are inevitable with age. This results in a lack of faith and connection to our bodies, thinking it is only a matter of time before it comes knocking at your door. My 95 year old clients would beg to differ! If it is already prevalent in your life, it is time to ask yourself why?

Going with the flow

I am here to tell you it can be as easy as floating downstream. The struggle is half the problem! If we delve into our hearts and seek the truth within assisted by making a few simple adjustments in the physical world we can create wellbeing of the mind, body and soul. Let’s journey together!
